Bio
I am a versatile researcher in physical activity and sports science. I obtained a PhD in exercise physiology. My current research focuses on the promotion of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. This work includes:
- Designing smart devices and smart living environments to assess and promote physical activity
- Testing lifestyle interventions aiming at promoting physical activity
- Developping portative technologies for the assessment of balance ability in senior people
My past research interests include:
- Exercise adaptations in sickle cell trait carriers
- Exercise adaptations in tropical environment
- Vascular alterations in sickle cell diseases
- Evaluation of red blood cell rheological properties using high frequency ultrasound
- Impact of active video games on health
Hobbies & lifestyle
I like swimming, especially in open water, outdoor activities, boardsports (skiing, snowboarding, surfing...) and camping in the wild. I have played ice hockey at national level.
I am also an active travelling enthusiast with about 2500km completed every year.
